1. Information We Collect
RateTakeover.com (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects only the minimum information required to provide our assumable mortgage search, equity-gap calculator, and multi-buyer list synchronization services:
- Account & Co-Buyer Sync Data: When you verify your email address via our 6-digit verification code (or Google Sign-In) to sync saved property lists or share lists with verified co-buyers, we store your email address, first name, linked co-buyer emails, and saved property list IDs.
- Pre-Qualification & 2nd-Loan Quote Inquiries: When you voluntarily submit a request to compare 2nd-position loan rates or pre-qualify for an assumption, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and the selected property/loan scenario.
- Payment & Billing Data: Self-serve Lender Sponsorships and Buyer Deal Alert subscriptions are processed directly by Stripe, Inc. We never store or have access to your full credit card number.
2. How We Use & Share Your Information
- List Synchronization: Your email and saved lists are used strictly to synchronize your favorite properties across your devices and with the verified co-buyers you explicitly add to your group. We never sell your account email or saved property lists to third-party mailing lists.
- Mortgage Lead Routing: If you submit a 2nd-loan or mortgage assumption pre-qualification form, your inquiry is shared with participating NMLS-licensed mortgage lenders so they can provide rate quotes for your scenario.
- Transactional Emails: We use Resend to deliver 6-digit verification codes and optional deal alerts that you request.
3. Cookies, Analytics & Google AdSense Disclosure
We use local browser storage (`localStorage`) to remember your theme preference (Light/Dark mode) and calculator settings. In addition, third-party vendors, including Google AdSense, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to RateTakeover.com or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings.
4. Your Privacy Rights (CCPA / GDPR) & Data Deletion
You have the right to access, update, unlink co-buyers, or delete your saved lists and account data at any time. You can remove any saved list or co-buyer directly inside the RateTakeover.com interface, or request complete account deletion by contacting us at support@ratetakeover.com or by mail at RateTakeover.com (c/o Strobeck Media), 11575 SW Pacific Hwy #1070, Tigard, OR 97223.
